About Us
Sean and Lauren Brimhall love cheese. No, we’re really serious, we even have two American Mastiff dogs we named “Cheddar” and “Brie.” We often speak in our own special language that involves mispronouncing words. We have gotten so used to this that we sometimes forget that we are only understood by an audience of one. We intend to go to all 50 states. Lauren has 36 states so far and Sean has 43. We will consider photographing weddings in states we haven’t been to free of travel charges! Lauren collects stuffed seals and Sean collects real cats, one of which is a parrot kitty who sits on his shoulders while he goes about his daily business. The only thing we love more than cheese is photography.
Our Mantra
Lauren Brimhall Photography is a husband/wife photography team. We believe truly great wedding photography is achieved with a sense of humor, great lighting, an a fun/relaxed relationship between photographer and client.
Our Style:
What we want for every bride is the same thing we wanted for ourselves back when we were interviewing photographers for our own wedding: A photojournalistic mixture of candid and posed shots to tell the story of your one special day for decades after it has passed. We click now and ask questions later. What we specialize in are the artistic captures of events taken as they happen — the photos that set your memory book apart from the many others your poor guests have probably been forced to flip through. So that’s our goal — beautiful portraits of brides, both classy and whimsical shots of couples, your guests butt bumping one another, whatever it is that’s happening in that moment we want to capture it all.
Credentials
Lauren graduated summa cum laude from Hofstra University, Long Island, NY in 2005 with a degree in journalism and fine art, and has continued to take post graduate photography courses in order to stay current.
Sean got his start in photography as an imagery and intelligence analyst in the U.S. Marine Corps conducting aerial and ground photo reconnaissance operations on combat missions, while deployed with the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment in 2004 and 2005.
Company History
Lauren Brimhall Photography is a Denver-Colorado based wedding and select portrait photography company. We started our business in the Northeast and have had great success there, allowing us the opportunity to shoot weddings at iconic locations such as New York City, Philadelphia, Princeton University, and the Pocono Mountains. We eventually moved to Denver in 2011.
