For someone who lives in one of the most beautiful places in the state of Pennsylvania, I sure do end up doing a lot of shooting elsewhere. Needless to say, when Stef and Tim were happy to have their engagement session in the Poconos, I was very excited and had my husband research for some new undiscovered territory. I may be mapping challenged, but he\u2019s a master! He came to discover this old Colonial town buried deep in the heart of the Delaware Water Gap (DWG) National Recreation Area. <\/p>\n

Keeping in mind the DWG spans over 40 miles of ground, we knew heading in that there would be no address or even an intersection to put into our GPS systems. I factored in some extra \u201cgetting lost time,\u201d which I made good use of in order to arrive on time, but the couple completely overshot the Water Gap, leaving us with only 45 minutes left until sundown when they arrived. We still managed to get in an hour and 15 minutes of shooting time, with the second half of it being pretty dark, but we still got what I think are some really awesome Fall photos with a quaint little-town feel to them.<\/p>\n

We quickly discovered that the location offered a lot more variety than we initially thought. Without even having to get back in the car, we came across a new photo-worthy scene in almost every direction we walked, and this beautiful overlook was just one of them.<\/p>\n

I also got pretty happy when I saw a low-bearing tree branch the couple could safely get up on. With the Colonial houses in the background, the photos remind scenes from the movie \u201cMy Girl.\u201d However, if you want to see what a real movie-themed engagement shoot looks like from me, you\u2019ll have to wait until Nov. 27, when I have something very special planned with Erin and Matt!<\/p>\n

Being as late in October as it is, I was happy there was still a little bit of color left to be enjoyed.<\/p>\n

And finally, I have to hand it to this awesome couple; when I saw this open field and asked them to go into it, they braved the prickers and the ticks to get in there for these shots. I promised them the photos would be worth it, and boy were they ever! Congratulations you two, and happy Halloween!<\/p>\n
