Let me just start by saying, I LOVE Jenna and Tracy! Jenna has been following my work for a VERY long time, and I don’t think she misses a single blog post! I had never met Tracy until this past Sunday, but when I did, I was not surprised to quickly discover he is absolutely as sweet as Jenna, and the two of them make such a cute, adoring couple. <\/p>\n

When the couple and I met up at Moncacy Creek and got out of the car, I noticed two things right away. The first was that Jenna was shivering and neither her or Tracy had chosen to wear a coat on this very cold January day. The second was that they had apparently lost my engagement Shoot FAQ sheet and were both wearing SOLID WHITE… in the white snow! Let this be a lesson to all future brides, please read your FAQ sheets on what to wear and not to wear. And as a general rule, it’s always better to be as comfortable as possible, because the camera can tell when you’re not. <\/p>\n

Anyway, in spite of our challenges, there were still some winners in the set. Jenna toughed out the cold like a champ, and I tried to put the couple against darker backgrounds wherever possible. <\/p>\n

Jenna and Tracy seemed very relaxed in front of the camera, and I think that added a good deal to their pictures.<\/p>\n

Funny story of the day: I saw these nice icicles hanging from the roof and plucked one off to use in a picture of Jenna’s ring. I put the ring around the icicle and put the icicle in the snow for a picture. Well, the icicle was too skinny and the ring slid right down it and disappeared into the snow. I started brushing the snow away where it fell and thank God it did turn up, but I was pretty much in panic mode for a good long second there! Then the icicle was broken and covered in snow, so – not wanting to mess with the ring again – I just told Jenna to pop the ring into the snow somewhere and that was our picture.<\/p>\n

Then the sun peeked out from behind the clouds, and I loved the warm light it was casting against the happily dark stone behind us. I ran about a half mile to get to the other side of the creek for this next shot, only to have it pointed out to me once I got there that there was another, much closer bridge I could have used, oh well!<\/p>\n

I spotted one last goodie on the way out.<\/p>\n

Jenna and Tracy, it was so nice to finally meeting you both in person! It was about time that I finally had your faces up on my blog! I hope seeing yourselves up here was everything you hoped for, and it was my pleasure to capture a couple as happy and in love as you two are.
