From the Wedding Tip Series, providing a new piece of advice every Wednesday to help brides get the most out of their wedding photography. This Wednesday, we are proud to unveil tip nine:<\/p>\n

\u201cHave the Details Ready\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you have scheduled to have any kind of \u201cgetting ready\u201d photos taken, the first thing your photographer is probably going to do is walk in and ask for all the little pre-wedding details he or she knows you\u2019ll want pictures of: the dress, the shoes, your bouquet, the rings (usually the groomsmen have the rings, but if you have a 2nd shooter you can make sure groomy has that ready for him or her also), and any other little details you might want photographed. This might be your special \u201csomething blue,\u201d or your sports-team-themed garter, whatever it may be, throw it in a pile and have it ready to go. Then, make sure you give your photographer some time to get creative pictures of all of it. <\/p>\n

As you know, we aren\u2019t just dropping things in front of our cameras, clicking and going \u201cnext!\u201d It does take a little bit of time to set up creative detail compositions, but if you are super-tight on time and the details aren\u2019t important to you, just let your photographer know and we can always skip them all together. Personally, I would rather skip something than be forced to rush through it and do a poor job.<\/p>\n

As a sidenote, DO watch your wedding-dress hanger. A cheap plastic hanger can really cheapen the look of your wedding dress picture, while conversely, something pretty and monogrammed can really add class to that photo. Just my .02.<\/p>\n
