When I arrived at the Manor House on Kristin and Rex’s wedding day, the weather was looking pretty ominous, but just before the ceremony the clouds parted, the sun shone through, and the bunnies came out to graze just in time for the ceremony.

I was lucky to have Jim Heine fly out from PA to join me for this special event and together we managed to capture lots of great moments for the couple.

The ceremony for the last wedding we shot at the Manor House was held at a local church so this was our first time taking advantage of the venue’s gorgeous view of the city skyline.

Having done most of their photos earlier in the day thanks to a “first look,” Jim and I got to have some fun shooting the lively cocktail hour crowd. Afterwards it was off to kick the party off in the tent!

Rex is a DJ for the company Discosapien and thought it would be cool if we could capture a shot that highlighted the fact his company came out to DJ his own wedding. Kristin is a designer, and while we took lots of details of her beautiful work, we are going to keep to just one ring shot for the blog.

The Manor House likes to move the “after party” indoors, which is where things usually get pretty crazy…
