Tracie and Steve are good friends with one of our absolute favorite past couples, so we had high expectations for their wedding, and anticipated a high-energy reception!
Ironically, in all the years we lived in Denver, it is just as we are about to make the move to New Jersey that we had our first opportunity to shoot at the Curtis Hotel. The venue offers a super-fun and very colorful atmosphere, and is located just a short walk from some popular, and equally colorful photo-op spots!
This rooftop ceremony was simply gorgeous, and the late afternoon light even added a little flare!
I have told clients again and again, a little uplighting can go a long way to add interest to an otherwise simple reception space, and in the case of Steve and Tracie’s wedding, that was an understatement!
