As many of you know Amanda and Will were the proud winners of our Mile-High Engagement Session Giveaway Contest! After getting to know these two a little, I have to say I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to do my very first company shoot in Colorado with! The contest was a “vote to win” type of deal, and the couple did a lot of promoting with their friends and family to get the grand prize, so I felt I had lot to live up to delivering photos that were truly worth all of that effort! Hopefully I didn’t disappoint 😉
We did the session at Water Valley Resort, and the location provided any number of beautiful photo ops.
The couple brought their little dog Tim… whose nickname is Barney, or maybe it was the other way around? For the sake of our blog, we’ll call him Tim. Tim wanted to be involved in the couple’s engagement session because he was part of their engagement story. Apparently, it was always Tim’s dream to see the ocean, so when Amanda and Will took him on a trip, Tim thought it was a good time for his owners to get married, and personally delivered the ring to Amanda.
In spite of being residents of Water Valley, apparently the resort is still private property and there is a fee for shooting there. The sweet security guard we met named Debbie informed us of this, but after a brief chat with me, was still kindly enough to not only allow us to finish out our session there, but even took us over to the Center Island for a few photos as well.
And it wouldn’t be one of my engagement sessions if I didn’t ask the couple to hop a fence, sit on something dirty or climb up on something. As usual, the photos were well worth it!
To Amanda and Will: It was so great to finally meet in person! You both have a great sense of humor; I felt like I could say anything with you, which I normally do anyway, haha, but you guys totally got me! Besides that, you two are freakin’ hawt! Congrats on your upcoming wedding!
Lauren….stunning once again! Congratulations Amanda and Will….you guys look great!
Great pictures! #4 is gorgeous!
Love the one with the dog!
