I know sometimes it may sound like I’m just totally selling out when I say how much I have loved working with each of my couples this year, but it is what it is and Chelsi and Andy were certainly no exception. They’re the type of fun, adventurous people, open to creativity and new ideas who make our jobs so rewarding!
Add to that Chelsi being model beautiful, Andy being ridiculously good natured, and an enchanting location for a wedding at St. Malo’s in Estes Park, and we had a recipe for a memorable day with photos to match!
We started with some photos of Chelsi getting ready. I seem to remember asking if that tape they were putting on to keep the lace on her dress in place was “for skin” and all the bridesmaids cracking up… Like I said, it was a good group!
Sean photographed the boys already ready for the ceremony at St. Malos Chapel. I He apparently convinced the entire group to climb a giant rock wall for a photo op, and the clouds cutting into the mountains in the background make it look like something out of a fairytale.
The ceremony was just gorgeous. Chelsi’s dress with her long lace train complemented the atmosphere of the old castle-like chapel perfectly, but my favorite part was the ALMOST accidental first kiss. The priest literally stopped them mid pucker yelling, “not yet!” I guess I can’t blame Andy for not being able to wait!
The ceremony was followed by a few bride & groom and wedding party shots…
The highlight of the reception was the brilliant speech the maid of honor gave. I don’t know how much of it was planned or just the impromptu result of alcohol doing it’s number on her brain-to-mouth-filter, but she had those guests laughing and crying all at the same time! Afterwards there was some dancing and a few of the traditional events, such as bouquet and garter toss (if you can call Chelsi walking across the dance floor and handing the bouquet to her MOH a “toss”) but at least the garter got thrown… and reluctantly retrieved in a fashion befitting an old dirty sock.
Much love to this amazing couple!
Just gorgeous!
