From our initial meeting with Charlie and Alexis, Charlie had emphasized his want for really unique and artistic images. He threw out the idea of the T-Rex chasing the wedding party composite, which we of course chuckled at (since it’s been done a lot now), and explained that we would make their images unique in our way 🙂
When the couple pitched the idea of doing some engagement shots with their bunny Humphrey at their apartment, my initial reaction was that it would be a third location and a huge time suck… but then I realized those shots would fit perfectly into that unique niche the couple was looking for when they hired us and the ideas started brewing in my head.
Unfortunately, Humphrey… being a rabbit and all, haha… wasn’t terribly cooperative and I was right about it taking a lot of time to get even a couple of workable shots. However, the ones we did get are adorable… now my brain is churning again about a giant Humphrey chasing the wedding party… Oh the possibilities…
After Humphrey’s 30 minutes of fame, we hailed a taxi over to Rittenhouse Square Park… or at least halfway over after we got stuck in major traffic and decided to walk. The park was cute AND packed, but it’s where the couple got engaged, so I was happy we were able to get at least a few shots there 🙂
We decided at the last minute to head over to the Magic Gardens instead of the originally planned second location due to time, but I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. The shots there were some of my favorite of the day, and it was there that Charlie and Alexis really started coming out of their shells.
Hey you two, here’s to February weddings! As super sweet and photogenic as you both are, I know the images are going to be amazing! Thanks again for choosing us!
