Sarah and Ilya planned their Jersey City wedding with a perfect view of the New York City Skyline. Everything from getting ready on the observation deck of their apartment building to choosing the Liberty House Restaurant as their reception venue was planned with the view in mind. The weather, however, had other plans…
Through the windows of the observation deck nothing but pure white and raindrops could be seen, and the thick fog was like an uninvited wedding guest throughout the day. But Sarah stayed cheerful surrounded by tears of joy from her loved ones and friends, and I personally felt the temperamental sky added a truly unique mood to some of the images we captured. The soft light coming through the whitewashed observation deck windows also made possible some truly magical photographic scenes.
I am a true believer in the old saying, “everything happens for reason” and Sarah was meant to marry Ilya on this particular day that made it one of a kind. I can’t say enough how happy I am for these two beautiful people, who have both been nothing but an extreme pleasure to work for. Thank you both so much for choosing Sean and I to capture your wedding day, and I hope you see it as perfect as I did through these images.
