I am more than happy to travel far and wide for clients who are as great a fit for my photojournalistic photography style as Amanda & Ryan, including Washington, D.C. These two are part of an emotional, spontaneous, and fun family with a great sense of humor.
The wedding day itself was a bit crazy. With everything from the rain keeping the first look and most of portrait time indoors, makeup running late, the maid of honor breaking the Uber (long story), and the National Gallery of Art being fine with letting me in (but not my bags), I’m sure things were looking a little Lemony Snickets to Amanda for a minute there… but not from my perspective. From where I stood, we had beautiful cheerful bridesmaids, a highly emotional moment with Amanda’s dad, beautiful portraits to be created anywhere, and entire day of more unpredictable moments to come.
From there, the ceremony went off without a hitch, spirits were soaring high, guests were laughing hysterically, and glow sticks on the pitch-dark dance floor made for a crazy rave-party atmosphere. All in all I was so thrilled I had the opportunity to shoot such a special day for this unique couple and I hope I did it justice!
Congratulations again you two!
