It feels like just last month that I met up with Danielle and Brian for the first time for their engagement session in Wilkes-Barre, PA … Oh wait, that WAS just last month! ha! Anyway, these two are back again already and it sure was a pleasure seeing them again so soon. Their Waterview Pavillion Wedding was my first of the year, and I can’t begin to express how crazy excited I was to celebrate with them. Danielle and Brian are a really unique couple, with fun, outgoing personalities and they had the wedding to match perfectly.

The day started out like most weddings do; I arrived at Danielle’s house to capture some getting ready photos, and things were running a little behind. There were hardly any wedding details in the house to be photographed, so I did what any photographer would do… occupied myself by seeing how many ways I could photograph the same pair of shoes.

When Danielle arrived, she said she wasn’t feeling 100% that day, yet somehow she LOOKED 110%! She was gorgeous, happy and animated; an absolute pleasure to be around and to photograph! We really quick grabbed a few shots of her putting the dress on and a couple of solo shots before sending her off to the ceremony.

As Danielle walked arm-in-arm with her father, it was written all over his face how much love he had for his little girl that day. She may not have noticed as she walked happily toward her new husband, Brian, but the camera doesn’t miss a thing!

Officially husband and wife, it was time to celebrate! The limo-bus picked everyone up, including myself, and we all headed over to the next location on our agenda… (note, these photos are from before & AFTER the next location, haha).

The Windmill is a greasy little hot-dog joint where Danielle, Brian and a bunch of her friends used to work. Ever since her first mention of wanting to eat chili cheese fries and hot dogs in her wedding dress, I have to confess, I immediately loved Danielle! To be quite “frank,” I MAY have since referred to her as greasy-hot-dog-stand bride. I can’t help it! Anything fun or completely unique about a wedding, and that’s what sticks!

Next up was my favorite part of the day; time for photos of just the bride and groom! By now you readers are probably starting to feel bitter about empty headline-promises of Marina photos, so I better not keep these to myself any longer!

With the wind-chill on the pier, it was freezing cold out, and I had left my coat in the car back at the church. It was such a warm day to start, and I think I’m just a little in denial about winter not being completely over yet! I actually have Raynaud’s Disease, a condition causing very bad circulation, so I was shaking violently by the end of these photos, but as I booked it toward the warmth of reception venue across the street afterwards, I chattered back to my couple “Soooo worrrrth itttt!” haha.

The couple wasn’t far behind!

The Reception kicked off with a ridiculously cute rehearsed first dance by the couple. I have to say, I totally saw this coming after I asked them to dip for their engagement pictures. We weren’t at the reception for long, just long enough for the speeches and a few shots of people having a good time.

To Danielle & Brian: Sending one big, fat congratulations your way! You tied the knot, you looked beautiful doing it, and you made it your own. As a photographer, I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you for making my first wedding of the year a reminder of why I love my job so much. Well wishes for a future filled with all the love and happiness I was witness to on Saturday.
