Elizabeth and Matthew have been one my sweetest, most easy-going couples to date. They are the type of people who are constantly smiling, and always comfortable to be around. This past weekend I had the privilege of photographing their wedding at Mountain Springs Lake Resort in Reeders, PA.

Mathew being the artistic type, photos were very important to this couple, so they decided to opt for a first look to make more time for photos on their day. This created time for some bridal party shots down by the lake, and bride-and-groom photos. I have to hand it to Mountain Springs Lake, there was no shortage of beautiful locations for photos at this venue!

The ceremony was short and memorable, as Matthew actually sang his vows to Elizabeth. Now I have definitely seen grooms sing at weddings before, but never the actual vows! I have to hand it to Matt, too, his little tune was heartfelt and chock-full of laughs.

One of my favorite aspects of this wedding the whole day through was all of the beautiful details. Elizabeth’s taste was impeccable, and the colors she chose complimented the view from the venue’s windows so perfectly!

The reception was a blast, as Elizabeth’s Bulgarian family led the couple’s guests in some traditional circle dancing. The level of participation in that was just mind-blowing!

One thing I loved about this family: give them some table napkins and a microphone and you’ve got yourself a serious party! Even Matthew could only resist the dance-mania for so long, until he was literally DRAGGED out onto the dance floor!

To Elizabeth and Matthew: Thank you so much for having me be part of your once-in-a-lifetime day. Your wedding was one of those where I could really feel the love around me, and I don’t think I’ve seen a happier-looking couple. Congratulations you two, I wish you the best in life and love!
