When Kristin invited me to come shoot hers and Rex’s engagement session on his “huge rustic property with a fun tree house,” I was pretty excited about the possibilities! I must have driven past the place about three times before I realized I was pulling into a trailer park, but I’m also not the kind of photographer to be intimidated by a location.

In fact… my brain immediately started churning with fun, unique ideas and within the first 10 minutes of the shoot, I had the couple on top of Rex’s mother’s truck and was feeling very “Garden State” with the whole thing. I loved this couple’s open-mindedness and adventurous spirit, a total joy to work with!

After having some fun on the property, we took a quick ride over to Standley Lake, which was absolutely beautiful this time of year. I couldn’t get enough of the gorgeous Fall colors.

To Kristin and Rex: I’m so glad you two found each other, and then even more glad you both found us… twice! A little shout out to the Manor House Blog and Kristin K2 for making that happen! Can’t wait for your wedding in May!
