It’s not every day I get booked by another photographer to shoot their wedding, but when Heather contacted me I was definitely up for the challenge! After a few failed attempts to get this show on the road, Heather, her fiancé John, and I finally managed to get together for the engagement shoot we had planned in Bethlehem, PA.
Right off the bat it was pretty obvious what a cute couple this was, and I just LOVED how John was so affectionate!

The location we chose offered a surprising variety of photo opportunities and I was quick to take advantage of this ivy-covered wall and beautiful stone staircase.

There were so many castle-like entrances, I really wanted to show the architectural beauty of some of them, while still keeping the focus on the couple. And look how good of a sport John was, taking his shoes off and everything!!

Heather said they were up for whatever I wanted them to do because she knows how much more fun photos can be when couples are willing to get dirty or physical during the session. In this respect, shooting another photographer definitely had its advantages!

I was actually thinking about some cute little boop-on-the-nose thing that my husband and I do, when it occurred to me that other couples might just have something like it. I asked Heather and John about it and they actually said “Yes!” I then watch them proceed to beat each other on the foreheads, while I snapped photos, too funny!

As we were finishing up the shoot, one last awesome photo opportunity came my way. If you can figure out how I got these shots, good for you! But as for me, I think I’ll leave it a mystery.

To Heather and John: after 8 years together, it’s amazing how still in love you are! I can only hope my husband and I look as happy as you two five years from now. You complement each other outside and in and I feel so honored to be photographing your wedding. Congratulations again, and I hope these photos meet what are sure to be some very high standards!
