My first impression of Meg and Rob was that not only did they make a beautiful couple, they both had the sweetest personalities! Meg was happy and giggly and you could just read on Rob’s face how much he adored her. From the moment they booked, all I could think was “I can’t wait to work with these two!”

This past Saturday we shot their engagement session at multiple locations in Scranton, PA. The couple chose the Iron Furnaces for their main location and arrived at 8a.m. so we could utilize the best morning light. The two were naturals in front of the camera, so the session got off to a strong start.

I think Meg and Rob were fast to discover that the biggest thing they could do to help get the best possible photos out of me was to just be themselves and have fun. They went from hot to silly to romantic all on their own and I had the easiest time just photographing.

I was so happy when they even jumped a fence for me to get this next shot and the second one in the set, as I think they turned out to be more than worth it. Rob to Megan, “I’ve never seen you jump a fence.” Megan, “I’ve never had to before.” There were times I kind of wished I could hear more of their conversations, which — as I understand it — were quite ridiculous to keep each other smiling and entertained.

Our next stop on the list was the Hilton, Scranton. I find that 90% of the time, when it comes to hotels/venues, they turn out to be nicer in person than they look on the Web site. This time it was kind of the other way around. I definitely expected it to be a little bit nicer, but I still really like some of the photos we got there.

Surprisingly, a little café the two had suggested as a backup third location offered an even better variety of shot opportunities, and we closed out the session with some of my favorite photos of the day.

To Meg and Rob, finally getting to work with you has made me even more excited for your wedding in June! Every good impression I had of you from our first meeting is turning out to ring even more true the more time I spend with you. I hope the pictures are everything you imagined!
